Ballard Tool Library

Hello, and welcome to the Ballard Tool Library's online tool catalog brought to you by MyTurn! We would be delighted to help you find whatever you need for your upcoming projects. Feel free to browse our inventory here, or visit our official website www.ballardtoollibrary.org for information on memberships, volunteer opportunities, and more!

To guarantee a tool will be available when you come to the Tool Library, we recommend making an appointment for a specific item online. You can also make a general appointment for dropping off tools, getting signed up as a member or just saying hello.

Reach out with any questions you may have by emailing manager@ballardtoollibrary.org.

How Can I Join?

Easy!  As a supporting member of Sustainable Ballard, your membership is included! If you are not a member of Sustainable Ballard, you need an annual membership  ($35 Individual, $60 Household, or $100 Sustaining), sign up here.

If you are new to Sustainable Ballard and prefer to come into the Library to sign up for a membership, you should allow extra time. You will still need to sign up through the membership portal, but we can provide a computer. As a new Sustainable Ballard member, you will create a Library login for this site, receive a copy of our Tool Use Policy, sign a waiver and provide ID.

When we've confirmed your membership and signed waiver, you can start borrowing tools right away! Tool rentals range from $1-$10 per tool per week.

Appointments:

You can make appointments by reserving individual tools, or by making a general appointment here. You can also find a guide to making reservations here. Our volunteers will be happy to help you find the tools you need for any job.

Donations

We appreciate donations very much and can provide you a tax receipt for your records. If we are fully stocked on the tools you donate, we may offer them for sale to the public to help cover operational costs of the Tool Library.
